Robert - I wonder if you ever read this thing. I never called you Robert before, feels weird, my mouth needs to get used to it. Feeling bored at work, you popped unbidden into my mind and so I did a google search and - voila! - there you were! Or rather, there your artwork was (same thing, no?), which I have always loved. I hope you have been doing well these past several years since I saw you last, during a sad time. How's John doing? Well, I hope. Guess my identity yet? We had some fun times together during a certain era. Not that kind - I'm a straight man. I'm a halfway decent guitar player, a pretty good songwriter, a sub-mediocre drawer and painter of pictures, and a very talented fiction writer (and so modest). Did you really write all that shit in the journal section, or blog section, or whatever the hell section? I never knew you were such a good writer. I mean, it's not art or anything, but hey, it's way up there when it comes to internet blogs. And of course the subject matter really keeps the reader going, especially for a reader who knows (or knew) you when. I'd like to buy one or two of your prints, but I'm kinda strapped at the moment, so I'll have to defer until a later date. I like the the Shroud of Karloff. Also, Franken-nun or Nun-enstein or whatever the hell it was called. Like you -- in fact, due to you -- I'm a big Dali fan, and naturally a bit Robert Craig fan too. Anyway, are you in New York now? I'm in Minnesota, aka Hell at this time of year. I'm working on a novel, should be done by the end of '08. My son's a jazz musician, in his last year of college. My other son is 16. 'nuff said. I miss Zappa too. Anyway - just wanted to touch base. Drop me a line.
